Courses are provided to help support boards, employees and volunteers working in the sport and physical activity sector in the UK.

Led by expert trainers, this session brings together experienced chairs and facilitates topical and in-depth discussion, encourages experience-sharing and provides a networking opportunity.

Aimed at organisation chairs, this one-day course develops the core chairing skills of confidence, assertiveness and time management. Participants will be equipped with a framework for effective leadership, approaches for improving boardroom participation, managing difficult situations and overcoming barriers to good decision making.

This introductory course is perfect for governance leads and board members alike. Essential Sports Governance provides a detailed overview of the principles and practice of sports governance and how to get to compliance and beyond.

This one-day course is for those with 3+ years of experience of taking minutes and/or for minute takers whose minutes will be published who want to improve the quality and value of their minutes and to ensure they can be understood through a retrospective lens.  You will learn tools and techniques to take high-quality, technical minutes in pressurised environments in which sensitivity, accuracy, speed, and ethics all add to the complexity, the role technology could play in supporting your approach and how to work together with key stakeholders to support the minute taking process.
