Jane Kracke
Governance Manager, CIMSPA
Jane worked in sports development roles with two different Active Partnerships for more than 15 years before gravitating towards operations and governance. She took on her first governance-specific role two years ago when she became Governance Manager at CIMSPA (the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity), and since then has completed the Chartered Governance Institute’s Level 4 Certificate in Sports Governance with the help of a bursary from the Sports Governance Academy.
Since joining CIMSPA she has ensured compliance with the Code for Sports Governance and the Charity Governance Code. She has also overseen the development of CIMSPA’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, reviewed and revised all of CIMSPA’s governance policies and managed the recruitment and onboarding process for a number of trustees, including two sets of elections.
Her most recent focus has been on delivering an engaging AGM for CIMSPA’s members, and on instigating a complete revamp of the Board’s internal evaluation process, which is now being rolled out to CIMSPA’s sub-committees too. She has also broadened her knowledge through rewriting CIMSPA’s terms and conditions and updating a range of partner contracts to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
As a member of the SGA’s Advisory Group, Jane has relished the opportunity to support the sports governance community, and believes strongly in the benefits of sharing good practice across the sector.
