Meet Barry Wade, Director of Digital Innovation at Paddle UK. Barry will be talking to us about the AI work that Paddle UK have been doing to improve their provision for paddlers.
Barry is the Director of Digital Innovation at Paddle UK, overseeing IT infrastructure and asset management, digital product development, web platforms, and the organisation’s new data strategy and insight function. His work is focused on transforming Paddle UK into a digitally enabled, data-informed organisation that drives growth, participation, and enhanced member experiences across paddling.
With over 20 years of digital leadership experience in National Governing Bodies, Barry has led major digital initiatives across both aquatic and paddlesport sectors. Before joining Paddle UK in 2017, he held senior roles at Swim England, where he played a key role in advancing digital engagement.
Barry seeks to develop cost-effective digital tools to empower NGBs, so that any efficiencies achieved can be reinvested back into the sport.
