Where Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are used as the appropriate safeguard you should be aware of potential risks including access by third parties as there may be the risk of government and public bodies accessing your data. There could also be challenges in enforcing your data protection rights and ensuring compliance with SCCs in the destination country. More information can be found at www.discourse.org/privacy on how CDCK safeguard international data transfers and their policy on how they respond to orders or requests for personal data under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act or similar national security law.
