Ray McKeeman

Ray McKeeman has dedicated many years to angling as a former fishery manager, qualified APGAI instructor and licensed Level 2 Lead Angling Coach. He brings this wealth of business experience and a genuine passion for the sport to his voluntary role as Governance Director of the Ulster Angling Federation (UAF).

Ray devotes countless hours of his personal time to strengthening the Federation's governance, bringing together a team to undertake a substantial review and modernisation of organisational policies and procedures. His work has improved clarity around responsibilities, strengthened accountability and supported directors in applying policies fairly and consistently.

During a particularly challenging period, Ray has provided invaluable guidance on difficult Board decisions, helping ensure that proper procedures, confidentiality and fairness remained central to the Federation's work.

Known for his calm manner, integrity and willingness to help others within the community, Ray has made an exceptional contribution, much of it quietly behind the scenes. His dedication has not only helped the Federation navigate difficult circumstances but has established stronger governance practices and a lasting culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the sport in Northern Ireland.
