Date: 27th Oct 2026
Selina joined Active Kent & Medway in December 2024 after building her career in the construction industry. Seeking a more purpose-driven role, she made the move into the sport and physical activity sector, joining as a Business Support Assistant. Recognising both the growing need for a dedicated governance lead and Selina's aptitude for the subject, the organisation created the opportunity for her to develop into the Governance and Systems Officer role. In a short period of time, she has taken on increasing responsibility across Board and committee support, governance systems, policy development, and organisational improvement, helping to strengthen governance practices across the organisation.
Alongside her role, Selina completed the Chartered Governance Institute's Certificate in Sports Governance with Distinction, giving her a strong foundation in governance and the confidence to put her learning into practice as her role develops. Known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning, she brings a fresh perspective and considered approach to her work.
Passionate about making governance practical and proportionate, Selina enjoys helping to create the structures, systems and culture that enable people and the partnership to thrive. She is excited to continue developing her skills, embracing new challenges and making a positive impact through strong and effective governance.
